Dearest Rose,-
I have ben waiting for a letter for some time. And as I have a little spare time now will try ad write a line or two.
I got a nice box of candy yesterday from a nice little girl. it sure was fine. I thank you very much for thinking of me. That was the first of any thing I got.
I got a nice check from the ship yards last week. nearly fifty dollars I sent it home.
Now it is hard to write I just started to write when the called us out to work. I went out at
There we are going to move But I hope we don’t have to I am beginning to like it here.
Do they keep you buisy enough so you wont get lonesome? Did any of the girls come back? I suppose mary is there yet? There isn’t much news to write and I haven’t much time so I will have to close for this time.
I thank you very much for the candy.
If you want to know how to cheer me up write me a little letter. I know how you hate to write. But you know how I like to hear from you.
Well Good-Bye. with Best Love. From Dan,
Sec. Reg.,
